Witchita Falls, TX

Today's ride I swept with David, this means it was our job to finish last and make sure that all of our teammates make it in safely. The morning started with lots of small rolling hills and low traffic roads. Then we started riding on the interstate which is always less enjoyable because of the traffic and debree on the shoulder of the road. Jillian got a flat early on in the day so we stopped to help her with that. The rest of the morning was pretty uneventful. Richard, Tiffany, and Corey stopped to pet some donkeys right before lunch so we stopped with them for a little bit as well. Shortly after that Tiff got a flat so we had a snack break/flat party. It really started heating up between first lunch and second lunch which always makes the ride harder but never impossible. David and I stopped at a rest area and took a nap in the shade tree before second lunch. By the time we got to second lunch we were feeling pretty good, due to our nap, so we wanted to make it a quick stop. Brettly and Richard were just rolling out as we got there. We waited for Mel to get around and then we hit the road again. Later on in the ride Mel got really hot so we stopped at a shade tree and I took some awesome pictures of the clouds. After the van came for Mel, David and I hit the road once again. We pounded out the last 15ish miles and then got ready for dinner. Dinner was delicious. Several people watched some Harry Potter afterwards but once again I journaled and fell asleep early.
