Orientation!!!!!

Ahhh! So the road trip down with Kelly Kelsey Renee and drew went very well. We had good weather the whole way down and I very much enjoyed everyone's company. We arrived at orientation very nervous but the nerves quickly subsided when Renee handed me a letter from Kristen. I thank god for that girl daily! So encouraging:) after everyone arrived orientation began. Lots of icebreAkers. Let me repeat. lots.of.ice beakers. But don't worry I survived. We were also given teams, I am on team blue barracuta and my team consists of Eddie, mark, noelle, steph, and David m. We are in charge of filling the water coolers in the mornings for now. Day two we woke up to music and got started with our day right away. More icebreakers followed by how to change a tire and properly clean your bike. I am proud to say that I successfully changed my tires with a little help from Prachi and Coleman. After learning how to treat our bikes we did some drills in a parking lot near our church. We practiced signaling, stopping quickly, and obstacle course. Overall drills went well the stopping fast was a little nerve racking but I did it without falling!!! After drills it was time to hit the road for our shakedown ride! Things started off great but then due to some construction we had to reroute and that caused some confusion. We rode through a residential area with lots of stops which was good practice clipping in and out and signaling. We also stopped at the beach and dipped our feet in. Something about the ocean just makes me happy:) dinner was wonderful as well. Getting to know each other is so great! Things I am learning already: attitude is everything, I am very grateful for food, water, and showers, and sunshine makes the world a better place. Wheel dip is tomorrow and then we ride!!!!!!
